2009 Firefighters
"Fill the Boot for Burns"

Media Advisory

Join dozens of fire agencies throughout Northern and Central California as they host the 2009 Boot Drive and help make a positive difference in the lives of burn survivors and fellow firefighters.
Thousands of firefighters volunteer each February to collect money in their boots during the annual "Fill the Boot for Burns" Boot Drive fundraiser for the Firefighters Burn Institute. Donations are used to improve burn treatment and to fund life-altering burn recovery programs, including Firefighters Kids Camp for young burn survivors and the new Little Heroes Preschool Burn Camp.
In 2009, our goal is to once again raise over one half million dollars to support burn programs and a new regional burn center. We are confident that with the help of fire agencies who have already stepped forward and made commitments to hold new and repeat Boot Drives in 2009, we can meet this challenge. Even in difficult economic times, most people are happy to drop a few dollars into the boot of a firefighter, because they know they are supporting a great cause.

The Firefighters Burn Institute would like to thank all of the following sponsors for
their generous donations for this year's "Fill the Boot for Burns" fundraiser.
