Firefighters “Fill the Boot for Burns” Boot Drive
The Firefighters Burn Institute has many different fundraisers throughout the year. Our largest fundraiser is our annual Firefighters “Fill the Boot for Burns” Boot Drive. This event is typically held in conjunction with National Burn Awareness Week each February over the Presidents Day weekend. There are also many “Satellite” Boot Drives that are held throughout Northern and Central California. These Boot Drives count for the largest source of income for the Firefighters Burn Institute. Boot Drives are a very worthwhile and fun event. They are warmly welcomed by the public and present good will between members of the fire service and the community. Crab Feed
Our annual Crab Feed is a great time! The Crab Feed was originally started by the Sacramento Area Firefighters Burn Center Committee years ago. The SAFBCC turned the Crab Feed over to the Firefighters Burn Institute in 2004 and with some of the original Crab Feed Committee Members still serving, the Crab Feed lives on.
