Services

Firefighters Burn Institute is dedicated to providing recovery and support services to both burn survivors and those who love and care for them. The services we provide include:

BURN RECOVERY PROGRAMS

Monthly Recovery Group... meetings provide an arena where burn survivors, family and friends can come together for psycho-social support in dealing with the burn injury, disfigurement and changes in their lives - Helping them get past being a victim and on to becoming a survivor!

Firefighters Kids Camp... is a special one week program where children who have suffered a burn injury can experience challenges of the outdoors in an environment where they can just be kids instead of being singled out because they look different or have physical limitations.

Beyond Surviving Adult Retreat... provides a unique opportunity for adults who have been affected by the pain, disfigurement and life changing results of a serious burn injury to meet others who have gone through a similar experience.

Burn Survivor Recovery Cruise... a nurturing vacation experience for burn survivors, firefighters, and their loved ones.

Emergency Needs... are assessed on an individual basis.

BURN RECOVERY PREVENTION PROGRAMS

Juvenile Firesetter Program... an intervention program to stop fireplay and arson in children.

Speakers Bureau... outreach program to provide prevention information to the public.

Public Education... through development and distribution of fire and burn prevention literature as well as participation in community events.
