The Firefighters Burn Institute (FFBI) is committed to funding education for medical burn team professionals and supporting burn treatment and rehabilitation research for burn unit staff to attend the American Burn Association annual meeting. This annual conference is the premier educational event for the entire burn care team.

The FFBI scholarship is not intended to cover the full cost of attending the ABA annual meeting. Each scholarship amount will be based on the need of the applicant and is intended to assist the recipient with hotel, registration and travel expenses. Applicants taking an ABLS course may qualify for additional aid. We will require verification of conference attendance and also completion of a post-conference survey. 

The American Burn Association dedicates their efforts and resources to promoting and supporting burn-related care, prevention, education, and research. Their multidisciplinary membership enhances their ability to work toward common goals with other organizations and educational programs.

How to apply for an educational scholarship to attend ABA:

In order to be considered for a scholarship through the FFBI, each applicant will need to complete an online application.

FFBI will review each application and make final decisions on scholarship amounts and recipients. Careful consideration will be given to each applicant. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
